2. Edward D² Allen (Samuel¹) was born in Brookfield, Madison Co, NY 1808. Edward died July 29, 1893 in Lebanon, Madison Co, NY, at 85 years of age.

He married Caroline Button 1827. Caroline was born in Brookfield, Madison Co, NY May 05, 1805. Caroline was the daughter of John P Button and Betsey Palmenter. Caroline died 1876 in Smyrna, Chenango Co, NY, at 71 years of age.

Edward D Allen and Caroline Button had the following children:

3 i. David³ Allen was born about 1828.

4 ii. Hannah Allen was born 1829.

5 iii. Erotus Allen was born 1831.

6 iv. Robert Allen was born 1833.

7 v. Sarah Anne Allen was born in Brookfield, Madison Co, NY February 10, 1835. Sarah died June 17, 1899 in Earlville, Madison Co, NY, at 64 years of age. She married Wellington Jay Lillibridge in Madison Co, NY, September 22, 1850. Wellington was born in Lebanon, Madison Co, NY May 27, 1825. Wellington was the son of Jarah Lillibridge and Olive Wilcox. Wellington died December 2, 1900 in Earlville, Madison Co, NY, at 75 years of age. Burial: 12 Feb 1901 Earlville Cemetary, NY (See Wellington Jay Lillibridge for the continuation of this line.)

8 vi. Freeman Allen was born 1837.

9 vii. Dellia Allen was born 1857.
