He married Susanna Heckman Easton, Northampton Co, PA, November 23, 1831. Married in the German Reform Church

Susanna was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA September 18, 1807. Susanna was the daughter of John Heckman and Maria Schneider. Susanna died June 27, 1875 in Jersy City, Hudson Co, NJ, at 67 years of age.

William C Ackerman and Susanna Heckman had the following children:

2 i. John Heckman² Ackerman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA August 14, 1832.

+ 3 ii. Edward C Ackerman was born 1836.

4 iii. Charles Ackerman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA about 1838.

5 iv. William C Ackerman was born Easton, Northampton Co, PA 1840. He married Mary A unknown. Mary was born in Pennsylvania 1843. (Additional notes for Mary A unknown⁽¹¹⁾) In the 1870 census Easton Northampton Co page 69B, William (age 30) is living with his wife Mary (age 27). William has a listed occupation of RailRoad Agent and a RealEstate value of $7,000 and personal property value of $4,000.
