1. Barney¹ Bengfort was born Iowa January 1871.

He married Mary unknown in Carrol Co, IA, 1896. Mary was born Iowa May 1873. In the 1900 census Coon Rapids, Union Twp, Carroll Co, Iowa page 174, Barney (age 29) is recorded with his wife Mary (age 27) and daughter Bertha (age 2). Barney has the occupation of Saloon Keeper.

Barney Bengfort and Mary unknown had the following child:

2 i. Bertha² Bengfort⁽²³⁴⁾ was born in Carrol Co, IA August 25, 1897. Bertha died March 1986 Lakeland, Polk Co, FL, at 88 years of age. She married Carl LeRoy Godown Iowa, September 15, 1919. Carl was born Panora, Cass Twp, Guthrie Co, IA July 07, 1893. Carl⁽²³⁵⁾ was the son of Pierson Morris Godown and Mary Isabelle Crowell. Carl died November 6, 1976 Lakeland, Polk Co, FL, at 83 years of age.
