He married Nancy Opdyke in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, May 28, 1836. Nancy was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ December 21, 1817. Nancy was the daughter of Joseph Opdyke and Sarah Trimmer. Nancy died February 1, 1874 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 56 years of age. Buried at Frenchtown Cemetery Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co., NJ

In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 144, George (age 33) is recorded with Nancy (age 33), Margaret (age 10), Charles (age 8), Aritta (age 4), Dunham (age 8m) and Margaret (age 55). George is a farmer with all births are NJ.

In the 1860 census Baptistown Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 21, George (age 43) is recorded with Nancy (age 43), Margaret (age 21), Charles (age 20), Aritta (age 14), Dunham (age 12), Sybille (age 5), Berthania (age 2), William Nixon (age 15), and Margaret (age 65). George is a farmer with all births are NJ.

In the 1870 census Baptistown Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 234, George (age 52), is recorded with Nancy (age 53), Lilly (age 14) and Berthana (age 12). Also in the household is Margaret Sine (age 32) a widow. George is a farmer with all births are NJ.

In the 1880 census Baptistown Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 53, George (age 63) a widower, is recorded with Thania (age 21). George is a farmer with all births are NJ.

George Arnwine and Nancy Opdyke had the following children:

9 i. Margaret³ Arnwine was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 3, 1838. Margaret died September 11, 1895 at 57 years of age. She married twice. She married Asa R Sine in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 2, 1860. Asa was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 1837. Asa was the son of John Sine and Permelia Rounsavell. Asa died March 4, 1865 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 27 years of age. Died of Typhoid fever at age 27 years and 10 months.

She married George D Conklin Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, November 24, 1870. George was born New York 1837. George was the son of Gabriel Conklin Rev and Catharine unknown.

+ 10 ii. Charles Arnwine was born November 21, 1840.

11 iii. Arrieta Arnwine was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey July 12, 1845. Arrieta died September 15, 1886 at 41 years of age. She married William T Barber in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 6, 1866. William was born in New Jersey 1840. William was the son of James Barber and Mary Taylor. (See William T Barber for the continuation of this line.)

12 iv. Dunham Conklin Arnwine was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey September 21, 1849. Dunham died March 1, 1866 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 16 years of age. Died of Typhoid fever

13 v. Sybille L Arnwine was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1854.

14 vi. Lillian Lambert Arnwine was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey January 1, 1856. She married Harlem G Chamberlin in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 20, 1878. Harlem was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ November 1851. Harlem was the son of Amplius Blake Chamberlin and Elizabeth Myers.

15 vii. Berthania Arnwine was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1857.

16 viii. Pullian O Arnwine was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey June 2, 1858.
