7. Peter² Bartholomew (Benjamin¹) was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1803. Peter died April 1881 Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 77 years of age.

He married Catherine Myers. Catherine was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1808. In the 1850 census Kingwood Hunterdon Co NJ page 143, Peter (age 46) is recorded with Catherine (age 41), Amy (age 16), Benjamin (age 10), Mary (age 6), Sarah (age 3), and Christiana (age 18). Peter is a farmer and all births are NJ. recorded right next to them is Elizabeth (age 50), Mary (age 45), Ann (age 40), Sarah (age 35) and George Little (age 19).

In the 1860 census Quakertown Franklin Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 422, Peter (age 57) is recorded with Catherine (age 52), Amy (age 24), Benjamin (age 21), Sarah (age 13), Georgiana Opdyke (age 5), Charles Opdyke (age 3), and Hiram Opdyke (age 10). Peter is a farmer and all births are NJ.

In the 1870 census Cherryville, Franklin, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 208, Peter (age 66) is recorded with his wife Catherine (age 63), Benjamin (age 30), Rebecca (age 24), Cora (age 3), and Nina (age 1). Peter is a farmer and all births are recorded as NJ.

In the 1880 census Franklin, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 287, Peter (age 76) is recorded with his wife Catherine (age 73), gdau's Cora (age 14), Nina (age 12) and Jennie (age 9). Also recorded with them is Eldridge Hyner (age 31), Martha Hyner (age 31), Nora Hyner (age 10), Philip Hyner (age 4) and Firman Potts (age 20). Peter is noted as a retired farmer and all births are recorded as NJ.

Peter Bartholomew and Catherine Myers had the following children:

12 i. Christiana³ Bartholomew was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1831.

13 ii. Amy Elizabeth Bartholomew⁽¹⁹³⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 1835. She married Henry T Opdyke 1852. Henry was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 1832. Henry was the son of Joseph Opdyke and Sarah Trimmer. (See Henry T Opdyke for the continuation of this line.)

+ 14 iii. Benjamin Bartholomew was born 1839.

15 iv. Mary Bartholomew was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1843.

16 v. Sarah Jane Bartholomew was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1846. She married Ambrose S Baldwin in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 5, 1864. Ambrose was born about 1845.
