6. John Rudolph³ Bortmass (John Rudolph², Adam¹) was born in Donegal Twp, Butler Co, PA February 11, 1814.

He married Eliza unknown in Butler Co, PA, about 1841. Eliza was born in Butler Co, PA 1821. In the 1850 census South Butler Twp, Butler Co PA page 221, Rudolph (age 34) is recorded with Eliza (age 29), Mary (age 8), James (age 6), Alfred (age 4), John (age 2). Rudolph is a laborer and all were born in PA.

John Rudolph Bortmass and Eliza unknown had the following children:

15 i. Mary⁴ Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1842.

16 ii. James Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1844.

17 iii. Alfred Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1846.

18 iv. John Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1848.
