7. Christian Christopher³ Bortmass (John Rudolph², Adam¹) was born in Donegal Twp, Butler Co, PA January 20, 1816.

He married Eliza Ann unknown in Butler Co, PA, about 1846. Eliza was born in Pennsylvania 1826. In the 1850 census South Butler Twp, Butler Co PA page 221, Christian (age 32) is recorded with Eliza (age 24), John (age 2) Isabel (age 8m) and Elizabeth (age 1). Christian is recorded as a miner and all were born in PA.

In the 1860 census Butler Twp, Butler Co PA page 106, Christian (age 42) is recorded with Eliza (age 36), John (age 12), Alphus (age 10), Margaret (age 8), Andrew (age 6), Catherine (age 4), Eli (age 2) and a servant Isabelle ?? (age 17). Christian is a farmer and all were born in PA.

Christian Christopher Bortmass and Eliza Ann unknown had the following children:

19 i. John H⁴ Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1847.

20 ii. Elizabeth Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1848. Elizabeth died about 1855 in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA. Elizabeth is not recorded in the 1860 census

21 iii. Isabel Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1849. Isabel died about 1855 in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA. Isabel is not recorded in the 1860 census

22 iv. Alphus Bortmass was born in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA 1850.

23 v. Margaret Bortmass was born in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA 1852.

24 vi. Andrew Bortmass⁽⁴²⁸⁾ was born in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA 1854.

25 vii. Catherine Bortmass was born in Butler Co, PA 1856.

26 viii. Eli B. Bortmass was born in Butler Twp, Butler Co, PA 1858.
