16. John S³ Bird (Elisha R², Ruben¹)⁽³³⁸⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1809. John died 1893 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 84 years of age.

He married Sarah Hoff in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 4, 1845. Sarah was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1810. Sarah⁽³³⁹⁾ was the daughter of William Hoff and Mary Snyder. Sarah died 1895 Franklin Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 85 years of age.

John S Bird and Sarah Hoff had the following children:

45 i. Thomas B J⁴ Bird Dr⁽³⁴⁰⁾ was born in New Jersey July 1847.

46 ii. Susan R Bird⁽³⁴¹⁾ was born in New Jersey 1848.

47 iii. Joseph S Bird⁽³⁴²⁾ was born in New Jersey 1849.

48 iv. Mary Catherine Bird⁽³⁴³⁾ was born 1852. She married an unknown person in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, April 2, 1879.

49 v. David Milton Bird⁽³⁴⁴⁾ was born in New Jersey March 1853. He married an unknown person.

50 vi. John William Bird⁽³⁴⁵⁾ was born Pittstown, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 28, 1856. He married an unknown person November 29, 1879.

51 vii. Emma Bell Bird⁽³⁴⁶⁾ was born Franklin Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ September 9, 1861. She married an unknown person Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, February 14, 1883.
