2. John² Britton (William¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey About 1780. John died September 1844.

He married Grace Holcombe Bellis. Grace was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 28, 1778. Grace was the daughter of John H Bellis and Elizabeth Holcombe. Grace died April 28, 1860 in Solebury, Bucks Co, Pennsylvania, at 81 years of age. Buried at Friends Burial Ground, Pennsylvania

John Britton and Grace Holcombe Bellis had the following children:

3 i. Keturah³ Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey June 4, 1798.

4 ii. Mary Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey March 1, 1801.

5 iii. Elizabeth Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 20, 1803.

6 iv. Alada Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 25, 1805. Alada died February 18, 1876 at 70 years of age.

7 v. Samuel Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 10, 1806.

8 vi. William Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 28, 1808.

9 vii. Thomas Holcombe Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 20, 1812.

10 viii. Sarah Ann Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey June 12, 1814.

11 ix. John Britton was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey January 11, 1817.

+ 12 x. Amassa Ely Britton was born April 15, 1820.
