17. John Neil⁴ Leech (John³, Samuel², unknown¹)⁽³²⁴⁵⁾ was born in Cross Creek Twp, Jefferson Co, Ohio November 1874. John died 1932 in Steubenville, Jefferson Co, Ohio, at 57 years of age.

He married Anna Perkins 1904. Anna was born in Medina Co, Ohio 1874. (Additional notes for Anna Perkins⁽³²⁴⁶⁾) Anna died 1953 at 79 years of age. In the 1900 census Cross Creek Twp, Jefferson Co Ohio page 25A, John (age 25) single, is living with his parents. He has the occupation of School Teacher.

In the 1910 census Steubenville, Jefferson Co Ohio page 134, J. N. (age 35) is recorded with his wife Anna (age 35), Eleanor (age 2), and Jennie (age 1). All births are Ohio and John is a city engineer. They have been married for 12 years and have had 2 children.

In the 1920 census 715 Belleview Blvd, Steubenville, Jefferson Co Ohio page , John (age 45) is recorded with his wife Anna (age 45), Elinor (age 12), and Levin (age 10). All births are Ohio and John is a civil engineer.

In the 1930 census 923 Quinby Ave Wooster Twp, Wayne Co Ohio page 229, John (age 55) is recorded with his wife Anna (age 55), Eleanor (age 22) and Lorin (age 20). John was 30 when he was first married. He is contractor and all births are recorded as Ohio.

John Neil Leech and Anna Perkins had the following children:

20 i. Eleanor P⁵ Leech (still alive).

21 ii. Jennie Leech was born in Steubenville, Jefferson Co, Ohio 1908.
