21. Tilghman4 Lehr (John3, John2, John1) was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA July 1833. Tilghman died April 16, 1916 Pittsburgh, Pa, at 82 years of age. Burried in Forks Cemetery
He married Sabina Werkheiser in Northampton Co., Pa, 1854. Sabina was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA June 13, 1830. Birth records on Plainfield Reformed Church show Sabina born 6-13-1830 to Peter and Henrietta Sabina was the daughter of Peter Werkheiser and Henrietta Reis.
Sabina died July 21, 1900 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 70 years of age. Buried at Forks Cemetery Tilghman Lehr was in the Civil War, Union
A Tilghman Lehr (may be another Tilghman) Service Record reads: Enlisted as a Private on 28 March 1864 Enlisted in Company F, 47th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 28 March 1864 Deserted on 01 June 1865
In the 1860 census P.O. of Easton, Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co, page 972, Tilghman (age 25) is recorded with Sabina (age 30) and Charles (age 1). Tilghman has the occupation of a Tailor and has a property value of $200.
In the 1870 census Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co, page 401A, Tilghman (age 37) is recorded with Subbina (age 40) four children, Amandus (age 8), Lusinda (age 5) and John (age 2), a Charles Lehr (age 71??) and William Becker (age 80). Do not know what the relation is of William but the age of Charles should read 11 not 71. Tilghman has an occupation of Taylor listed with a Real Estate value listed as $2,000 and personal property as $250.
In the 1880 census Plainfield Twp Northampton Co PA page 235, Tilghman (age 46) is living with his wife Sabina (age 49), sons Amandus (age 17), George (age 6) and his mother Anna (age 75). Tilghman has the occupation of a Taylor and all the family and parents were born in PA.
In the 1890 census East Allen, Plainfield Twp Northampton Co, PA found at http://www.enter.net/~ritar/plainfield.html#eastal len Tilghman (age 57) is recorded with his wife Sabina (age 60).
In the 1900 census 44 Prospect Street, Wilkes Barrie, Luzerne Co PA page 65A, Tilghman (age 65) is recorded with is wife Sabina (age 69). They have been married for 45 years, and had 7 children with 5 alive at the time of the census. Tilghman has the occupation of Taylor and rents his home and are living in the same household as their son Amandus.
In the 1910 census Alina? House, Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co PA page 237, Tilghman (age 77) is recorded as an inmate at this hospital. There is also a Samuel Lehr (age 58) recorded on the same page.

records In the 1880 census Forks, Northampton, Pennsylvania page 4, Lucinda (age 14) is living with her uncle Harrison Sandt (age 36).
Lucinda is noted in the census as a servant.

Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA 1868. Moved to Ohio with Amandus's daughter Jennie after the death of Amandus since they did not like
Sarah, Amandus second wife.
In the 1880 census Stockertown, Northampton, Pennsylvania page 213, John A Lehr (age 12). is living in the household of his uncle Edward Nolf (age 39) and Lovina Nolf (age 39). Also in the household is Edwards's niece Ida A Lerch (age 16) and mother in law Henrietta Werkheiser (age 75).
