12. John³ Lehr III (John², John¹)⁽³²⁵³⁾ was born in Pennsylvania 1799. John died 1874 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 75 years of age.

He married Anna Johnson about 1824. Anna was born in Pennsylvania 1804. Anna died 1892 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 88 years of age. In the 1850 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 206, John (age 51) is recorded with Anna (age 46), Adams (age 21), Tilghman (age 16), William (age 2), and Mary (age 73). John's has the occupation of Laborer recorded.

In the 1860 census Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 957, John (age 61) is recorded with Anna (age 56). John is working a a day Laborer.

In the 1870 census Nazareth, Northampton Co page 474A, John (age 70) is living with his wife Anna (age 66) in the household of William and Hannah Knaufs.

John Lehr III and Anna Johnson had the following children:

18 i. David⁴ Lehr was born in Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pa February 1826. He was christened in Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pa, March 05, 1826.

+ 19 ii. Adam Henrich Lehr was born February 7, 1827.

+ 20 iii. Edward Friedrich Lehr was born March 1830.

+ 21 iv. Tilghman Lehr was born July 1833.

22 v. William F Lehr⁽³²⁵⁴⁾ was born in Nazareth, Northampton Co, PA 1848. He married Sarah unknown about 1879. Sarah was born in Pennsylvania 1854. (Additional notes for Sarah unknown⁽³²⁵⁵⁾) In the 1870 census Bethlehem, Northampton Co, page 301B, William is recorded in the household of Thomas Diehl working as a Saddler. Mr Diehl is also listed as being a Saddler so William may have been an apprentice.

In the 1880 census 3rd Ward, Bethlehem, Northampton, Pennsylvania page 284, William (age 32) is living with his wife Sarah (age 26). William is noted as being a sadler.
