He was christened in Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pa, March 28, 1830. In the 1850 census, Upper Nazareth, Northampton Co PA page 277A, Edward (age 19) is working as a Tobaccoimst?. This may or may not be this Edward.

In the 1860 census, Upper Nazareth, Northampton Co PA page 1134, Edward (age 30) is living with Adaline (age 21) and Irwin (age 2 months). Edward is working as a Tobaccoimst.

In the 1870 census Belfast, Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co, page 383B, Edward (age 40) is living with his Wife Adeline (age 41) and family. Edward has an occupation listed as Dairyman and personal property listed at $150.

In the 1880 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co, page 331, Edward (age 50) is living with his Wife Adeline (age 41, should be 51), Amanda (age 12), Mary (age 8) and John (age 3

In the 1900 census Main Street, Nazareth, Northampton Co PA page 163A, Edward (age 70) is living with Adaline (age 60). They have been married for 41 years and have had 7 children, all alive at the time of the census. Edward has the occupation of day laborer and they rent their home.
