(Additional notes for Anne Hayes⁽³²³⁶⁾) In the 1850 census Cross Creek Twp, Jefferson Co Ohio page 108, Samuel (age 48) is recorded with Ann (age 48), John (age 19), William (age 7), Mary Hays (age 78), and Levina Hays (age 6). They are recorded next door to John Leech (age 53).

In the 1860 census Cross Creek Twp, Jefferson Co Ohio page 311, Samuel (age 59) is recorded with Ann (age 59), John (age 30), Mary (age 23), Jane (age 16), and Susan Hays (age 10). They are recorded next door to John Leech (age 64).

In the 1870 census Cross Creek Twp, Jefferson Co Ohio page 302, Samuel (age 68) is recorded with William (age 27) and Leviana Hays (age 24). Next door is Samuel Leech (age 23) and next door to him is John Leech (age 75) and a couple doors away is John Leech (age 40). Samuel is a farmer born in Ohio.

Samuel Leech and Anne Hayes had the following children:
