70. John⁵ McClure III (John⁴, John³, Unknown², unknown¹) was born in Willow Grove, Carlisle, Cumberland Co, PA January 7, 1766. John died February 06, 1833 in Mifflin, Allegheny Co, PA, at 67 years of age. buried at Lebanon Church Cemetery - Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

He married Agnes Topping about 1789. Agnes was born in Westmore Co, PA July 22, 1771. Agnes died April 22, 1858 in Mifflin, Allegheny Co, PA, at 86 years of age. buried at Lebanon Church Cemetery - Allegheny County, Pennsylvania By the conditions of his father's will, he inherited "Amity Plantation," now the site of Homestead and Munhall, Pa., and on which is built the great steel works of the U. S. Steel Corporation.

John McClure III and Agnes Topping had the following children:

+ 174 i. John⁶ McClure IV was born November 14, 1790.

+ 175 ii. Robert McClure was born August 10, 1792.

176 iii. Martha McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa December 22, 1794. Martha died March 28, 1859 at 64 years of age. She married John McCrea. John died before 1850. Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

177 iv. James McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa October 24, 1796. James died September 20, 1881 at 84 years of age. He married Eliza Lynch. Eliza was born about 1800. The IGI records a Robert and a James with a birth date of Aug 10, 1792. So there may have been James a twin of Robert that did not survive. Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

179 vi. Matthew McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa May 03, 1801. Matthew died March 22, 1864 at 62 years of age. He married Mary Wilson. Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

180 vii. Samuel McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa November 1803. Samuel died September 08, 1807 Pittsburgh, Pa, at 3 years of age. Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

181 viii. Nancy Denny McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa November 6, 1808. Nancy died May 11, 1875 at 66 years of age. She married John Cready Risher in Pennsylvania, May 5, 1835. John was born in Homestead, Allegheny Co, PA September 14, 1815. John⁽³⁵⁷⁶⁾ was the son of Daniel Risher and Sarah Cready. John died January 29, 1880 in Dravosburg, Allegheny Co, PA, at 64 years of age. (See John Cready Risher for the continuation of this line.) Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

182 ix. Jane McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa March 12, 1810. Jane died October 09, 1881 in Elk City, Clarion Co, PA, at 71 years of age. She married Lewis Pee Tee Whitaker November 23, 1835. Lewis was born in Tennessee March 12, 1810. Lewis died December 29, 1882 in Elk City, Clarion Co, PA, at 72 years of age. Also is recorded in the IGI as living in Munhall (a suburb of Pittsburg) PA.

183 x. Mary McClure was born Pittsburgh, Pa February 11, 1811. Polly died September 26, 1825 at 14 years of age.

184 xi. male McClure was born in Mifflin, Allegheny Co, PA 1815. Recorded in the IGI without a first name.

+ 185 xii. Abdiel McClure was born July 18, 1816.
