168. William⁶ McClure (William⁵, John⁴, John³, Unknown², unknown¹) was born in Carlisle, Cumberland Co, PA March 11, 1790. William died 1873 in Marietta, Ohio, at 83 years of age.

He married Jane Rodgers about 1809. (Additional notes for Jane Rodgers⁽³⁵⁹⁵⁾) for many years lived on the old home farm, which he had purchased from the other heirs. About 1858, William McClure sold the farm and moved with his family to Snowden Township, Allegheny County, Pa., and later to near Marietta, Ohio, where he died in 1873. His wife died (???), and is buried at Mingo Church, Washington Co., Pa

William McClure and Jane Rodgers had the following children:

267 i. Jane⁷ McClure was born in Cumberland Co, PA April 1809. Jane was christened Apr 13, 1809 in Middle Spring Presb. Church.

268 ii. Isabella McClure was born in Cumberland Co, PA April 1813. Christened during April, 1813 in Middle Spring Presb. Church, , Cumberland, Pennsylvania

269 iii. Andrew Moody McClure was born in Cumberland Co, PA April 1816. Christened on April 11, 1816 in Middle Spring Presb. Church, , Cumberland, Pennsylvania

270 iv. William Stewart Denny McClure was born 1826. William died 1871 in Snowden Twp, Allegheny Co, PA, at 45 years of age. He married Mary Ada Patterson. Mary died 1883 Pittsburgh, Pa.
