31. William⁴ McClure (Samuel³, Halbert Samuel², James Arthur¹) was born in Raphoe, Donegal, N. Ireland about 1742. William died 1785 at 43 years of age. Will was filed in Rockbridge Co Va on Nov 1, 1785

He married Jean Trimble 1769. Jean was born about 1749.

William McClure and Jean Trimble had the following children:

83 i. William⁵ McClure was born about 1770. He married Mary Shields 1790. Mary was born about 1770.

84 ii. Samuel McClure was born about 1772.

85 iii. Alexander McClure was born about 1774. He married Betty unknown. Betty was born about 1774.

86 iv. James McClure was born about 1776. James died 1827 at 51 years of age.

87 v. John McClure was born about 1778.

88 vi. Sarah McClure was born about 1780.

89 vii. Mary McClure was born about 1782.

90 viii. Agnes McClure was born about 1784.
