11. Alexander³ McClure (Halbert Samuel², James Arthur¹) was born in Raphoe, Donegal, N. Ireland 1717. Alexander died 1789 in Virginia, at 72 years of age. Will was filed in Rockbridge Co VA Feb 2, 1790.

He married Martha Moore. Martha was born about 1718.

Alexander McClure and Martha Moore had the following children:

38 i. Halbert⁴ McClure was born about 1748.

39 ii. James McClure⁽³⁵⁴⁸⁾ was born about 1750.

40 iii. Nathaniel McClure was born about 1752. Nathan McClure following Indian horse thieves was shot and mortally wounded, dying the succeeding night.

41 iv. Alexander McClure was born about 1754. Alexander died about 1810.

42 v. Samuel McClure was born about 1756. He married Rosanna Steele January 24, 1782. Rosanna was born about 1756.

43 vi. John McClure was born about 1758.

44 vii. Susanna McClure was born about 1760.

45 viii. Martha McClure⁽³⁵⁴⁹⁾ was born about 1762.
