He married Anna C unknown about 1899. Anna was born in Ohio April 1876.

James E McKirgan and Anna C unknown had the following children:

2 i. James L² McKirgan was born in Ohio 1900.

3 ii. Dorothy M McKirgan⁽³⁶³³⁾ was born Columbus, Franklin Co, OH March 3, 1902. Dorothy died November 1993 at 91 years of age. She married Harold M Bynner in Ohio, 1921. Harry was born in Medina Co, Ohio June 28, 1898. Harry⁽³⁶³⁴⁾ was the son of Robert M Bynner and Nancy A Godown. (See Harold M Bynner for the continuation of this line.)
