4. George² Opdyke (John¹) was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1743. George died 1795 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 52 years of age.

He married Sarah Sophia Baker in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, about 1767. Sarah was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1745. Sarah died November 3, 1843 at 98 years of age.

George Opdyke and Sarah Sophia Baker had the following children:

11 i. Mary³ Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1771. Mary died 1855 at 84 years of age. She married David VanSyckle in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, 1796. David was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey July 17, 1771. (See David VanSyckle for the continuation of this line.)

12 ii. Elizabeth Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1773. She married Adam Case Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, August 22, 1798. Adam was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1770. Adam was the son of John Adam Case and Catherine unknown.

13 iii. George Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1775. George died December 3, 1831 at 56 years of age. He married Amy Reading September 23, 1807. Amy was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ March 2, 1787. Amy died September 3, 1858 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 71 years of age.

14 iv. Samuel Opdyke was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey about 1776. Samuel died August 8, 1833 Bucks Co, Pennsylvania, at 57 years of age. He married Jane Hart Bucks Co, Pennsylvania, 1810. Jane was born Bucks Co, Pennsylvania August 4, 1765. Jane died 1843 Bucks Co, Pennsylvania, at 77 years of age.

15 v. Rachel Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1777. Rachel died Doylestown, Bucks Co, PA. She married Elijah Opdyke Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, November 4, 1795. Elijah was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1776. Elijah⁽³⁸⁴⁵⁾ was the son of Richard Opdyke and Grace Thatcher. Elijah died 1865 in Doylestown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 89 years of age. 16 vi. Margaret Elizabeth Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1779. She married David Warford. David was born 1764. David was the son of James Warford and Sarah Jewell.

17 vii. Sophia Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1782. She married Samuel Pierson. Samuel was born about 1778.

18 viii. Abigail Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 24, 1783. Abbie died January 25, 1812 at 28 years of age. She married Adam Everitt Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, December 27, 1810. Adam was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey January 25, 1789. Adam was the son of David Everitt and Catherine Case. Adam died January 7, 1849 at 59 years of age.

19 ix. Sarah Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1784. She married Isaac Larew. Isaac was born 1778.

20 x. Thisbie Opdyke was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ about 1788.
