1. Joseph R¹ Plum⁽⁴¹⁵⁸⁾ was born in New Jersey February 11, 1788. Joseph died January 4, 1852 in Lebanon, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 63 years of age.

He married Mary C Fox in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 20, 1814. Mary was born in New Jersey 1792. Mary died January 13, 1865 in New Jersey, at 72 years of age. In the 1850 census Lebanon Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 621, Joseph (age 62) is recorded with Mary (age 57), Mahala (age 26) and Nicholas Switch (age 18). They are living right next door to Joseph Plum (age 26).

Joseph R Plum and Mary C Fox had the following children:

2 i. Elizabeth² Plum was born in New Jersey 1815. Elizabeth died 1894 at 79 years of age. She married John Wilson in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, March 13, 1834. John was born in New Jersey 1810. (See John Wilson for the continuation of this line.)

+ 3 ii. William H Plum was born March 20, 1817.

4 iii. Charles Plum was born in New Jersey October 15, 1820. Charles died April 29, 1860 at 39 years of age. He married Mary Ann Fritts in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 16, 1842. Mary was born in New Jersey August 24, 1824. Mary died January 6, 1879 at 54 years of age.

5 iv. Mary Ann Plum was born 1822. She married Samuel Apgar in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 26, 1845. Samuel was born about 1819. (Additional notes for Samuel Apgar⁽⁴¹⁵⁹⁾)

+ 6 v. Joseph Plum was born July 15, 1824.

7 vi. Mahala Plum was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 10, 1826. She married David H Fritts in New Jersey, about 1850. David was born in New Jersey April 26, 1822. David died 1897 at 75 years of age. (See David H Fritts for the continuation of this line.)
