3. William H² Plum (Joseph R¹)⁽⁴¹⁵¹⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey March 20, 1817. William died May 28, 1884 at 67 years of age.

He married Mahala Beavers in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, April 14, 1838. Mahala was born in New Jersey November 29, 1817. Mahala was the daughter of Ralph Beavers and Christianna Dilts. Mahala died April 9, 1885 at 67 years of age. In the 1850 census Lebanon Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 259, William (age 33) is recorded with Mahala (age 33), Elizabeth (age 11), Christian (age 10), and Joseph (age 1). William is a shoemaker and all births are NJ.

William H Plum and Mahala Beavers had the following children:

8 i. Elizabeth³ Plum⁽⁴¹⁵²⁾ was born in Lebanon, Hunterdon Co, NJ September 23, 1838. Elizabeth died December 18, 1930 in New Hampton, New Jersey, at 92 years of age. She married Abraham Banghart Fritts in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, December 18, 1860. Abraham was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 22, 1830. Abraham was the son of William Fritts and Althea M Shurtz. Abraham died July 28, 1900 in New Hampton, New Jersey, at 70 years of age. (See Abraham Banghart Fritts for the continuation of this line.)

9 ii. Christian Ann Plum was born in Lebanon, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 13, 1840. Christian died October 27, 1915 at 75 years of age.

10 iii. Joseph Plum was born in Lebanon, Hunterdon Co, NJ December 27, 1848. Joseph died September 22, 1875 in New Jersey, at 26 years of age.
