78. George Wright⁴ Rittenhouse (Joseph S³, Lott², William B¹)⁽⁴³⁹⁶⁾ was born in New Jersey 1810.

He married Rachel Rockafeller in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 13, 1832. Rachel was born in New Jersey 1809. (Additional notes for Rachel Rockafeller⁽⁴³⁹⁷⁾) In the 1850 census, Deleware Twp, Hunterdon Co, page 110a, George (age 40) is living with his wife Rachel (age 41) and 4 children.

George Wright Rittenhouse and Rachel Rockafeller had the following children:

126 i. Mary⁵ Rittenhouse⁽⁴³⁹⁸⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1837.

127 ii. Ellen Rittenhouse⁽⁴³⁹⁹⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1839.

128 iii. Georgetta Rittenhouse⁽⁴⁴⁰⁰⁾ was born Delaware Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1843.

129 iv. Edward R Rittenhouse⁽⁴⁴⁰¹⁾ was born Delaware Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1844. He married Frances S Bellis. Frances was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ April 21, 1860. Frances was the daughter of Wesley S Bellis and Mary Catherine Stryker. Frances died 1914 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 54 years of age. Buried at Frenchtown Cemetery Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co., NJ
