94. John Bray⁵ Rittenhouse (Edward⁴, Benjamin William³, William², William B¹) was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ January 6, 1803. John died September 6, 1859 Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 56 years of age.

He married Ann Barcroft December 22, 1827. Ann was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 8, 1807. Ann was the daughter of Aaron Barcroft and Margaret Opdyke. Ann died March 2, 1890 at 82 years of age. In the 1850 census Baptistown Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 142, John (age 47) is recorded with Ann (age 42), Stacy (age 17), Aaron (age 15), Martha (age 11), Moses (age 9), Thomas (age 7), Hamilton (age 4), and Ann Druney (age 15). John is a farmer and all births are NJ except Ann Druney who was born in Ireland.

John Bray Rittenhouse and Ann Barcroft had the following children:

157 i. Harriet⁶ Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ June 9, 1829. Harriet died February 18, 1884 at 54 years of age. She married Manning Force Fisher in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 24, 1849. Manning was born about 1829.

+ 158 ii. Edward Rittenhouse was born May 9, 1831.

+ 159 iii. Stacy Barcroft Rittenhouse was born April 1, 1833.

160 iv. Aaron Barcroft Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ June 19, 1835. Aaron died February 24, 1859 at 23 years of age.

161 v. John Calvin Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ January 20, 1837. John died January 6, 1842 at 4 years of age.

162 vi. Martha Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 4, 1839. She married Moses K Everitt Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, February 23, 1858. Moses was born in New Jersey 1836. i0 In the 1860 census Baptistown, Kingwood Hunterdon NJ page 36, Moses (age 23) is recorded with Martha (age 20), Moses Rittenhouse (age 19), and Elizabeth Hummer (age 18). Moses is a farmer born in NJ.

163 vii. Moses Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ July 16, 1841. Moses died February 21, 1908 at 66 years of age. He married Rebecca L Johnson in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 17, 1868. Rebecca was born about 1841.

164 viii. Thomas B Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ December 2, 1843. Thomas died January 25, 1887 at 43 years of age. He married Frances Williams December 2, 1869. Frances was born about 1843.

165 ix. William Hamilton Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ February 22, 1846. William died November 20, 1869 at 23 years of age.

166 x. George Manning Rittenhouse was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ December 28, 1850. He married Frances Mettler December 22, 1874. Frances was born about 1850.
