1. Josiah¹ Rounsavell was born in New Jersey 1785.

He married Margaret Bearder. Margaret was born in New Jersey 1787. (Additional notes for Margaret Bearder⁽⁴⁵⁶⁸⁾) In the 1850 census Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 158, Josiah (age 64) is recorded with Margaret (age 62), Amy (age 30), Lavinia (age 38) George (age 20), and Nelson Dalrymple (age 10). Josiah is a cooper and all births are recorded as NJ.

Josiah Rounsavell and Margaret Bearder had the following children:

4 iii. Sarah A Rounsavell was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1807. She married Cyrenuis Wagner about 1823. Cyrenuis was born in New Jersey 1803. (See Cyrenuis Wagner for the continuation of this line.) In the 1860 census Baptisttown Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 753, Sarah (age 53), is recorded with Cornelia (age 19) and Elizabeth (age 80). Sarah is the head of house and in recorded as a Milliner.

5 iv. Permelia Rounsavell was born in New Jersey 1810. She married John Sine in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 7, 1830. John was born in New Jersey 1807. John died August 12, 1877 Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 70 years of age. (See John Sine for the continuation of this line.)

6 v. Elizabeth Miranda Rounsavell was born in New Jersey 1810. She married Nathaniel VanKirk in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, March 5, 1834. Nathaniel was born in New Jersey 1806. (See Nathaniel VanKirk for the continuation of this line.)

7 vi. Lavinia Rounsavell was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1812. She was described as helpless from birth

8 vii. Mary Rounsavell was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1813. She married David Moore. David was born in New Jersey 1806. David was the son of unknown Moore. (See David Moore for the continuation of this line.)

+ 9 viii. Andrew B Rounsavell was born 1815.

10 ix. Jacob Rounsavell was born in New Jersey 1818. He married Lydia Lake in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, February 21, 1846. Lydia was born in New Jersey 1820. Lydia was the daughter of Sergeant Lake and Letitia West. In the 1850 census Alexandria, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 157, Jacob (age 32) is recorded with Lydia (age 30). Jacob is a cooper born in NJ.

11 x. Amy T Rounsavell was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey February 14, 1819. Amy died February 5, 1901 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 81 years of age. Buried at Frenchtown Cemetery She married twice.

She married Samuel Pittenger. Samuel was born Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co, NJ June 30, 1798. Samuel died December 21, 1889 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 91 years of age. Buried at Frenchtown Cemetery lived in Frenchtown when married. Lived in Trenton in 1893

In the 1880 census 91 Third Street, Frenchtown, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 296B, Samuel (age 82) is recorded with wife Amy (age 62), daughter Anna (age 22), and boarders Justice Britton (age 31) and Elizabeth Britton (age 5).

She married Ezra Dalrymple Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, November 16, 1839. Ezra was born 1816. Ezra was the son of James Dalrymple and Elizabeth Mcpherson. Ezra died August 12, 1841 in Baptistown, Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co. NJ, at 25 years of age. (See Ezra Dalrymple for the continuation of this line.) In the 1870 census Baptistown Kingwood, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 227, Amy Dalrymple (age 50) is recorded with the family of James Gary (age 43).

12 xi. Lafayette Rounsavell was born 1823. He married Mary Ellen Runyon in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, October 20, 1848.

13 xii. George Rounsavell was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1829. Live in Chicago 1893
