1. Theodore Huff¹ Smith was born in New Jersey 1838.

He married Sarah Caroline Chidester in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, December 8, 1857. Sarah was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey March 8, 1838. Sarah was the daughter of Stephen Chidester and Martha Pidcock. Sarah died October 7, 1914 at 76 years of age. In the 1860 census Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 469, Theodore (age 22) is recorded with Caroline (age 22), John (age 1), Jane Chidester (age 12), George Ward (age 5), Joseph Smith (age 51) and Martha Chidester (age 52).

Theodore Huff Smith and Sarah Caroline Chidester had the following child:
