He married Rebecca Ashton in Freehold, Monmouth Co, NJ, 1688. Rebecca was born in Providence, Rhode Island 1672. (Additional notes for Rebecca Ashton⁽⁵⁰³³⁾) Rebecca died 1725 in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 53 years of age. buried at North Hill Road, Amwell, New Jersey

David Stout and Rebecca Ashton had the following children:

15 i. Sarah³ Stout was born in Middletown, Monmouth Co., NJ September 10, 1689.

+ 16 ii. Freegift Stout was born 1693.

+ 17 iii. James Stout was born 1694.

+ 18 iv. Joseph Stout was born 1698.
