1. Derrick Abram1 Sutphin was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey December 15, 1804. Derrick died December 23, 1878 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 74 years of age. Buried at "Amwell United First Presbyterian Church." located on the Old York Road, a half mile east of the village of Ringoes, and in East Amwell Township.
He married Mary Bellis May 14, 1825. Mary was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 17, 1805. Mary was the daughter of David Bellis and Eleanor Schenck. Mary died September 6, 1872 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 67 years of age. Buried at "Amwell United First Presbyterian Church." located on the Old York Road, a half mile east of the village of Ringoes, and in East Amwell Township. In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 145, Derrick (age 45) is recorded with Mary (age 45), Eliza (age 24), Catherine (age 17), William Hann (age 18), and Mary Schenck (age 10). Derrick is a merchant and all births are NJ.
In the 1870 census Lambertville Hunterdon Co NJ page , Derrick (age 65) is recorded with Mary (age 65) in the household of Jacob Servis (age 43).

Eliza2 Sutphin was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 11, 1826.
Eliza died January 16, 1892 Lambertville, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 65 years of age. She married
Jacob Servis in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, September 13, 1853. Jacob was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey
September 15, 1826. Jacob was the son of William Servis and Elizabeth Ann Quick. Jacob died January 13, 1892 in
Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 65 years of age. (See Jacob Servis for the continuation of this

Catherine Sutphin was born in New Jersey September 9, 1832. Catherine died June 26, 1876 at 43 years of
age. She married Peter Y Brewer January 18, 1853. Peter was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey
August 16, 1830. Peter died October 9, 1905 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 75 years of age. (See Peter Y Brewer for the continuation of this line.)
