48. Sidney⁴ Werkheiser (Peter³, John George Adam², Carl Henrich¹) was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA January 1844.

He married Emeline Keiper in Northampton Co., Pa, about 1881. Emma was born in Pennsylvania 1856. Emma died about 1897 in Northampton Co., Pa. In the 1890 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co PA, Sidney (age 46) is recorded with Emeline (age 33), Carrie (age 7), Philip (age 6), and Alfred (age 4).

In the 1900 census Palmer Twp, Northampton Co, PA page 249, Sidney (age 56 widowed) is living with Carrie (age 17), Philip (age 16), Alfred (age 14) and Emiline (age 4). Also in the household is Abel Lewis (age 57 brother-in-law) and his wife Abby (age 58).

Sidney Werkheiser and Emeline Keiper had the following children:

52 ii. Philip E Werkheiser⁽⁵⁵⁵⁸⁾ was born in Northampton Co., Pa March 1883.

53 iii. Alfred E Werkheiser⁽⁵⁵⁵⁹⁾ was born in Northampton Co., Pa November 1885.

54 iv. Emiline E Werkheiser⁽⁵⁵⁶⁰⁾ was born in Northampton Co., Pa March 1896.
