He married Adeline O Clewell about 1869. Adeline was born in Pennsylvania 1847. (Additional notes for Adeline O Clewell⁽⁵⁵⁶¹⁾) In the 1870 census Plainfield Twp Northampton Co PA page 396, Amandus (age 23) is living with Adeline (age 23) and Augusta (age 2 months)

In the 1880 census Plainfield Twp Northampton Co PA page 212, Amandus (age 34) is recorded with Adeline (age 33), Laura (age 9), Clinton (age 8), Henry (age 6), Lewis (age 4), Jennie (age 3) and Irvine (age 10m). Amandus is a carpenter and all births are recorded as PA.

Amandus Werkheiser and Adeline O Clewell had the following children:

59 v. Jennie O Werkheiser was born in Palmer Twp, Northampton Co, PA 1876.

60 vi. Irwin E Werkheiser was born in Palmer Twp, Northampton Co, PA July 1879.
