2. John Martin² Werkheiser (Carl Henrich¹)⁽⁵⁵⁴⁸⁾ was born in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA March 28, 1757. John died February 7, 1829 in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA, at 71 years of age.

He married Barbara Itterley in Northampton Co., Pa, August 7, 1785. Barbara was born August 7, 1758. Barbara died May 12, 1855 at 96 years of age. More information can be found at web site: http://www.geocities.com/jerushaf/werkheiser/johnm artinw.html

John Martin Werkheiser and Barbara Itterley had the following children:

12 i. Jacob³ Werkheiser was born in Northampton Co., Pa August 16, 1806.

13 ii. Hannah Werkheiser was born in Pennsylvania December 16, 1807. Hannah died August 30, 1887 at 79 years of age. She married Jacob Ruth in Pennsylvania, December 7, 1828. Jacob was born in Pennsylvania June 10, 1802. (See Jacob Ruth for the continuation of this line.)

14 iii. Charles Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA May 14, 1809. Charles died July 20, 1848 in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA, at 39 years of age.

15 iv. George Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA 1815.

16 v. Peter Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA 1817.

17 vi. Eliza Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA 1819.

18 vii. John Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA February 10, 1821. John died 1865 Illinois, at 44 years of age.

19 viii. Michael Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA November 25, 1822.

20 ix. Phoebe Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA about 1825.

21 x. Anna Maria Werkheiser was born in Plainfield Twp, Northampton Co., PA February 29, 1828.
