8. Elisha³ Warford (James², James¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 20, 1785. Elisha died May 16, 1872 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 86 years of age.

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Arnwine. Elizabeth was born in New Jersey 1781. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Arnwine and Elizabeth Opdyke. He married Mary Arnwine Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, February 10, 1806. Mary was the daughter of John Arnwine and Elizabeth Opdyke. Had five children by Mary Arnwine only one lived. Had one child by Elizabeth which died in infancy

In the 1850 census Kingwood Hunterdon Co NJ page , Elisha (age 64) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 68), Margaret Kline (age 9), Jacob Arnwine (age 68) and Mahlon Warford (age 40). Elisha is a farmer and all births are NJ.

In the 1860 census Kingwood Hunterdon Co NJ page 405, Elisha (age 75) is recorded with Elizabeth (age 81), William West (age 39), Mary A Kline (age 14), and Mahlon Warford (age 54). Elisha is a gentleman and all births are NJ.

In the 1870 census Kingwood Hunterdon Co NJ page , Elisha (age 84) is recorded with Mary A Elliott (age 47), Rachell Elliott (age 19), Benjamin (age 17), and George Elliott (age 12). Elisha is retired and born in NJ.

Elisha Warford and Mary Arnwine had the following child:

10 i. Mahlon⁴ Warford was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1810. Mahlon died 1861 in Missouri, at 51 years of age.
