He married Thelma Catherine Eberle about 1941. Thelma was born 1926. Thelma died October 1981 Delaware, at 55 years of age.

Charles Edwin Zimmerman Jr and Thelma Catherine Eberle had the following children:

6 ii. Nancy Lee Zimmerman (still alive).

7 iii. Ruth Ann Zimmerman (still alive).

8 iv. Sandra Lynn Zimmerman (still alive).

9 v. Charles Edwin Zimmerman III⁽⁵⁷¹⁸⁾ was born July 26, 1954. Charles died June 24, 1993 in Wilmington, New Castle Co, De, at 38 years of age.
