6. James² Cooley (Philip¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey May 18, 1800. James died March 6, 1854 at 53 years of age.

He married Helena Welch. Helena was born about 1800.

James Cooley and Helena Welch had the following child:

13 i. Peter³ Cooley was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ March 16, 1841. Peter died 1873 at 32 years of age. He married Sarah Elizabeth Cooley Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, June 6, 1863. Sarah was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1845. Sarah was the daughter of Philip Cooley and Elizabeth Hyde.
