In the 1870 census Cherryville P.O. Franklin, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 194, J. C. (age 37) is recorded with Angeline (age 32) and Charles (age 11). John is a school teacher born in NJ.

In the 1880 census Tewksbury Franklin, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 392, John (age 46) is recorded with his wife Angeline (age 42) and Charles (age 21). John is a school teacher and all births are NJ.

In the 1900 census Tewksbury Franklin, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 10, John (age 61) is recorded with his wife Angeline (age 61). They have been married for 40 years and have had 1 chold. John is a school teacher and all births are NJ.
