1. John Wesley¹ Dalrymple⁽⁸²⁷⁾ was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1759. John died 1838 Preble Co, Ohio, at 79 years of age.

He married Hannah Rittenhouse in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, 1785. Hannah was born in Rosemont, Hunterdon Co, NJ October 10, 1767. Hannah⁽⁸²⁸⁾ was the daughter of Moses Rittenhouse and Mary Rittenhouse. Hannah died May 19, 1798 in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 30 years of age.

John Wesley Dalrymple and Hannah Rittenhouse had the following children:

2 i. Jemima² Dalrymple was born in Rosemont, Hunterdon Co, NJ January 31, 1788. Jemima died August 15, 1847 at 59 years of age. She married John Williamson in Rosemont, Hunterdon Co, NJ, October 19, 1809. John was born about 1788.

3 ii. Mary Dalrymple was born 1805. She married Franklin Gordon in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 8, 1833. Franklin was born in New Jersey August 1805. Franklin was the son of Franklin Gordon and Pamelia Izor. (See Franklin Gordon for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. John Wesley Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey November 3, 1806. John died October 7, 1862 in Indiana, at 55 years of age.

5 iv. Susanna Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1807.

6 v. Moses Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1809.

7 vi. Edmund Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1813.

8 vii. James Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey April 15, 1816. James died November 8, 1851 at 35 years of age.

9 viii. Elizabeth Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1817.

10 ix. Sarah Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1819.

11 x. Armina Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1821.

12 xi. Mahlon Dalrymple was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1823.
