8. Claude³ Devilbiss (John H², Luther M¹) was born Iowa October 1883.

He married Ida May unknown Iowa, 1911. Ida was born Iowa August 31, 1892. Ida died November 1978 Panora, Cass Twp, Guthrie Co, IA, at 86 years of age. In the 1930 census Linn Twp, Dalas Co, Iowa page 273, Claude (age 46) is recorded with his wife Ida (age 37), Martin (age 17), Bessie (age 15), Lytrice (age 13), Lucy (age 10), Claude (age 6) and Leslie (age 3). Claude was first married at age 27 and is a farm manager.

Claude Devilbiss and Ida May unknown had the following children:

20 i. Martin L⁴ Devilbiss (still alive).

21 ii. Bessie L Devilbiss (still alive).

22 iii. Lytrice Devilbiss (still alive).

23 iv. Lucy M Devilbiss (still alive).

24 v. Claude Devilbiss was born July 10, 1923. Claude died October 14, 1998 in Kentucky, at 75 years of age.
