He married twice. He married Martha Howell about 1881. Martha was born May 24, 1864. Martha died May 16, 1882 in Guthrie Co, Iowa, at 17 years of age. Buried in the Brethern Cemetery, town of Guthrie, Guthrie Co, Iowa in lot 1.

He married Catharine unknown in Guthrie Co, Iowa, about 1885. Kate was born September 16, 1860. Kate died January 19, 1920 in Guthrie Co, Iowa, at 59 years of age. Buried in the Brethern Cemetery, town of Guthrie, Guthrie Co, Iowa in lot 1.
