15. Amos³ Emmons (Amos², James¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1819. Amos died about 1880 in Texas.

He married Sarah Applegate in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, February 27, 1845. Sarah was born in New Jersey 1823. Sarah died August 1, 1876 in Moultrie Co, Illinois, at 53 years of age. In the 1850 census Kingwood Twp Hunterdon Co NJ page 149, Amos (age 30) is recorded with Sarah (age 27), Catherine (age 5), Virginia (age 2) and Harriet (age 1m). Amos is a laborer and all births are NJ.

Amos Emmons and Sarah Applegate had the following children:

18 i. Catherine⁴ Emmons was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1845.

19 ii. Virginia Emmons was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1847.

20 iii. Henrietta Emmons was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey July 8, 1850. Henrietta died January 22, 1906 in Cooke Co, Texas, at 55 years of age. She married William Calvin Hand in Moultrie Co, Illinois, December 25, 1871. William was born Kosciusko Co, IN June 11, 1842. William died December 17, 1918 in Cooke Co, Texas, at 76 years of age.
