1. John¹ Deats was born February 1, 1769.

He married Ursilla Barton in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, November 15, 1795. Ursilla was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey January 20, 1767. Ursilla was the daughter of Elisha Barton and Jemima VanKirk. Ursilla died October 8, 1853 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 86 years of age.

John Deats and Ursilla Barton had the following children:

2 i. Elisha² Deats was born in New Jersey 1799.

+ 3 ii. Hiram Deats was born April 12, 1810.
