110. Joseph R10 Godown (John R9, John8, Evans7, Jacob6, Jacob5 Goedowne, Abraham4, Jacob3 Godon, Abraham2, Main Family Line1 Godown)(1372) was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey February 10, 1810. Joseph died September 30, 1848 Norwich, Franklin Co, OH, at 38 years of age. buried at Wesley Chapel Dublin OH

He married Nancy McCoy Norwich, Franklin Co, OH, August 04, 1833. Franklin Co. Ohio Marriage records 1789-1850 indexed on World Family Archives CD #400

Nancy was born in Pennsylvania about 1814. Nancy(1373) was the daughter of Robert McCoy and Nancy Douglas. Nancy died before 1850 in Medina Co, Ohio. I have noted Nancy's death as being before 1850 because we see her children Amy, John and James living with their Grandmother Nancy in the 1850 census. In the Kosciusko County, Indiana 1840 Census page 18, Joseph had a total of 5 people living in his household. One male under 5, One male between 20-30, one male between 30-40, one female between 5-10 (Nancy), and one female between 20-30. Two people were employed in Manufacturing and Trades. Joseph's neighbors were David Burns and Harry Doolittle. So my educated guess is that Joseph and his wife (20-30 years old) had a son under 5 and a daughter 5 to 10. Someone was also living with them that was 30-40 years old.

Joseph R Godown and Nancy McCoy had the following children:

child 180 i. Nancy Ann11 Godown(1374) was born Franklin Co, Ohio 1834. She married Jacob Stout. Jacob was born in Medina Co, Ohio 1836. (Additional notes for Jacob Stout(1375)) (See Jacob Stout for the continuation of this line.) Living with grandmother Nancy McCoy in the 1850 census in Perry Twp, Franklin Co, Ohio.

child 181 ii. John Godown was born Franklin Co, Ohio 1840. Living with grandmother Nancy McCoy in the 1850 census in Perry Twp, Franklin Co, Ohio.

child + 182 iii. James M Godown was born September 20, 1842.
