Raymond Leon¹² Godown Sr (Charles Lemuel¹¹, Charles Robins¹⁰, John A⁹, Jacob⁸, Evans⁷, Jacob⁶, Jacob⁵ Goedowne, Abraham⁴, Jacob³ Godon, Abraham², Main Family Line¹ Godown) was born Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ November 10, 1895. Raymond died December 1979 Millville, Cumberland Co, NJ, at 84 years of age.

He married Marian J Barton Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ, May 20, 1922. Marian was born Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ July 05, 1905. Marian was the daughter of J. Keasey Barton and Eliza unknown. Marian died March 1982 Millville, Cumberland Co, NJ, at 76 years of age. He had his basic training at Fort Dix. Raymond severly wounded by shrapnel while on active duty (September 12, 1918 to September 17, 1918) in St. Mihiel, France during WWI. He return to the states in May, 1919.

In the 1930 census Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ page 182, Raymond (age 34) is living on Saxer's Neck, with his wife Marian (age 24), Raymond (age 7), Walter (age 5), Horace (age 3y11m), and Harriet (age 6m).

Raymond Leon Godown Sr and Marian J Barton had the following children:

+ 586 ii. Walter Sherman Godown Sr was born November 09, 1924.

+ 587 iii. Horace Milford Godown was born May 05, 1927.

588 iv. Harriet Beatrice Godown was born Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ October 10, 1931. She married Bruno J Nardi. Bruno was born Millville, Cumberland Co, NJ August 2, 1925. Bruno was the son of Frank Nardi and Mary unknown. Bruno died June 13, 1998 Millville, Cumberland Co, NJ, at 72 years of age. (See Bruno J Nardi for the continuation of this line.)

589 v. Phyllis Jean Godown was born Cedarville, Lawrence Twp, Cumberland Co, NJ July 22, 1934. Phyllis died September 4, 1994 Millville, Cumberland Co, NJ, at 60 years of age.
