David died November 03, 1943 Rushville, Fairfield Co, OH, at 75 years of age. Buried in Rushville, Ohio

He married Delia May Wilcox Worthington, Franklin Co, OH, September 02, 1896. Delia was born Worthington, Franklin Co, OH August 24, 1873. Delia⁽¹⁶⁸²⁾ was the daughter of John Wilcox and Mary Lucindra Andrews. Delia died March 11, 1949 Lancaster, Fairfield Co, OH, at 75 years of age. In the 1900 census Perry Twp, Franklin Co Ohio page 190B, David (although is is hard to read and looks like Joseph written over by David) (age 31) is living with his wife Delia (age 26). They have been married for 3 years and have had two children, Ralph (age 2) and Otis (age 1) and also living with the family is Mary Wilcox (age 71), Delia's mother. David has the occupation of farmer and owns his farm with no mortgage.

In the 1910 census Franklin Co Ohio, David (age 40) is living with his wife Delia (age 36), sons Ralph (age 12), Odas (age 11), David Jr and daughter Mary (age 8). Also in the household is , Mother-in-Law Mary L Wilcox.

In the 1920 census Rush Creek, Fairfield Co, Ohio, David (age 50), is living with his wife Delia (age 46), Otis (age 20), Mary (age 17) and David (age 10). David is a farmer, they own the farm with a mortgage and were both born in Ohio.

In the Lancaster, Ohio 1924 / 25 City Directory David is noted as a mtrmn for L.T. & P. company and lives on East Walnut street.

In the 1930 census Brelun? Ave Rushville Village, Richland Twp, Fairfield Co, Ohio page 259, David (age 60) is recorded with his wife Delia (age 56). David was first married at age 27 and was born in Ohio. David is noted as a truck farmer.

510 i. Ralph W¹³ Godown was born in Perry Twp, Franklin Co, OH September 25, 1897. Ralph died November 17, 1917 Fairfield Co, OH, at 20 years of age. Volume 2418, Certificate 70383, Fairfield Co with the first name spelled as Ralf. His name also is recorded as Ralf.

511 ii. Otis Roy Godown⁽¹⁶⁸³⁾ was born in Perry Twp, Franklin Co, OH January 24, 1899. Otis died May 18, 1927 at 28 years of age. In the Lancaster, Ohio 1924 / 25 City Directory Otis is noted as a bookkeeper for a real estate company and lives on East Walnut street.

512 iii. Mary Lucinda Jane Godown⁽¹⁶⁸⁴⁾ was born Franklin Co, Ohio February 18, 1902. Mary died 1987 at 85 years of age. She married Fred W Lacy in Medina Co, Ohio, 1924. Fred was born in Medina Co, Ohio 1905. (See Fred W Lacy for the continuation of this line.) In the Lancaster, Ohio 1924 / 25 City Directory Mary J is noted as a Stenographer for R.L. Benua company and lives on East Walnut street.
