172. Johann Adam⁴ Heckman (Johannes³, Jurg², Unknown Parents¹ Heckmanunknown) was born in Montgomery Co., Pa December 21, 1772. Adam died October 1, 1860 in Bushkill Twp., Northampton Co., Pa, at 87 years of age. His body was interred in Old Salem Cem., Moorestown, Northampton.

He married Katharina Brunner in St. John's Lutheran Church, Williams Twp., Northampton Co., May 9, 1802. Katharina was born in L. Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., Pa January 12, 1782. Katharina died April 4, 1857 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 75 years of age. Her body was interred in Old Salem Cem., Moorestown, Northampton.

In the 1850 census Bushkill, Northampton page 361, Adam (age 74) and Catherine are living in the same household as John and L. Adam has a property value of $6,000 and can read and write.

235 i. Elizabeth⁵ Heckman⁽²³⁷⁶⁾ was born in Northampton Co., Pa 1803. She married Reuben Nolf in First Reformed Church, Easton, Pa, February 8, 1830. Reuben was born in Pennsylvania 1809. (Additional notes for Reuben Nolf⁽²³⁷⁷⁾) (See Reuben Nolf for the continuation of this line.)

237 iii. Susanna Heckman was born in Northampton Co., Pa March 1, 1806. Susanna died October 21, 1851 in Northampton Co., Pa, at 45 years of age. She married Carl Rohn in Northampton Co., Pa, March 4, 1827. Carl was born in Northampton Co., Pa about 1807. --Other Fields Cross Ref ID: Death: Deceased per Father's will of 27 Oct 1851, leaving 4 children.

240 vi. Katharina Heckman was born in Northampton Co., Pa March 11, 1812. in the 1870 census her age is listed as 54. She married Edward Edelmann in Northampton Co., Pa. Edward was born in Northampton Co., Pa August 12, 1810. Edward died about 1851. In the 1870 census Upper Nazareth Twp, Northampton Co page 457B, Catherine (age 54) is keeping house alone but next door to William (age 31) most likely her son.

241 vii. Christina Heckman was born in Northampton Co., Pa February 24, 1819. She married Jacob Seyfried in Northampton Co., Pa, 1841. Jacob was born in Pennsylvania 1812. Jacob died before 1860 in Northampton Co., Pa. (See Jacob Seyfried for the continuation of this line.) In the 1860 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co page 212, Christiana (age 41) is living with her children. Her husband is not listed so we would assume that he has died previous to 1860. Also recorded is John (age 17), Jacob (age 9), Tilgman (age 6), Granville (age 2) and Arwin (age 2).

In the 1870 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co page 382A, Christiana (age 51) is living with her children. Her occupation is listed as Keeping house with a RealEstate value of $1,200 and personal property value at $200.

In the 1880 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co page 331A, Christiana (widowed age 61) is living with her sons Jacob (age 29) and Grandville (age 22).

In the 1900 census Bushkill Twp, Northampton Co page 190B, Christiana (age 82) is living with her son Florance. She is noted as having 9 children with 6 still alive at the time of the census.
