70. Paul Leroy⁵ Heckman (Jasper Franklin⁴, Joseph³, George², Joseph¹)⁽²¹⁷³⁾ was born in Pocono Twp, Monroe Co, PA September 22, 1907. Paul died September 4, 1999 in Bartonsville, Monroe Co, PA, at 91 years of age.

Paul L. Heckman, 91, Stroudsburg, died on Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Sophia (Seitz) Graham Heckman.

Born on September 22, 1907 in Crescent Lake (Pa), he was the son of the late Jasper F. and Addie (Boorem) Heckman.

He was employed by the Monroe Silk Mill in Stroudsburg for 20 years. Prior to that he was employed in Philadelphia at a liquor warehouse for 16 years and at a Youth Development Center for seven years.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcella Calvierio, Roseto, and Janet Pansy, Bartonsville; two sons, Wilmer of Marshalls Creek and Lynn of Arkansas; a stepson, John Graham of Texas; four sisters, Beulah Motts, East Stroudsburg, Myrtle Shamp, Florida, Alvesta Gouger and Nina Lambert, both of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Gerald of Snydersville and John of Matamoras; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. Thomas Anderman officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Paul Leroy Heckman and Ruth Violet Doll had the following children:

92 ii. Janet Heckman (still alive).

93 iii. Wilmer Heckman (still alive).

94 iv. infant Heckman was born in Stroudsburg, Monroe Co, PA November 29, 1933. Infant died November 29, 1933 in Stroudsburg, Monroe Co, PA, at less than one year of age.

95 v. Lynn Heckman (still alive).
