He married Sarah E Godown in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, January 07, 1815. Sarah was born in Amwell Twp, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey October 24, 1789. Sarah⁽²⁹⁰³⁾ was the daughter of John Godown Sr and Mary D Rounsavill. Sarah died December 09, 1856 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, at 67 years of age. Married officated by Kirkpatrick

The IGI has a Charles Kitchen born about 1785 in Greenwich Twp, Sussex Co, NJ. Also has a Charles Kitchen born about 1780 in Hunterdon Co, NJ with a father of Henry Kitchen and Elizabeth Jewell.

Charles fought in the War of 1812 as a private with Capt. Jeremiah D Hayden's Company. He enlisted at Coryell's Ferry in New Jersey on February 12, 1814 and was discharged June 1, 1815 at Batavia, New York.

Charles W Kitchen and Sarah E Godown had the following child:
