25. Moses G⁴ Lake (Evans Godown³, Isaac², John¹) was born Raritan Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ April 13, 1823. Moses died September 15, 1904 Raritan Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 81 years of age.

He married Margaret Jane Buchanan about 1851. Margaret was born in New Jersey 1830. Margaret died about 1865 in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey. In the 1860 census page 229, Flemington, Hunterdon Co, NJ, Moses (age 37) with an occupation of Hotel Keeper, is recorded with Margaret J (age 30), Charles (age 8) and Amy (age 5).

In the 1870 census page 312, Flemington, Hunterdon Co, NJ, Moses (age 47) with an occupation of Farmer, is living with his daughter Amy (age 15). No other person are listed in the household so we have to assume that his wife has died.

In teh 1880 census Raritan, Hunterdon, New Jersey page 149, Moses (age 57,widow) is recorded with his mother Margaret Bearder (age 78,widow) and William Lake (age 14) noted as Margaret's GSon.

Moses G Lake and Margaret Jane Buchanan had the following children:

54 i. Charles Ugene⁵ Lake⁽³¹¹⁵⁾ was born Raritan Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ October 30, 1851. Charles died April 1, 1922 Somerville, Somerset Co, NJ, at 70 years of age.

55 ii. Amy M Lake⁽³¹¹⁶⁾ was born Flemington, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1855.
