1. Martin¹ Kessler was born in Pennsylvania July 1856.

He married Emma Catherine Arnold in Pennsylvania, 1885. Emma was born in Hamilton Twp, Monroe Co, PA July 28, 1861. Emma⁽²⁸⁹⁸⁾ was the daughter of Anthony Arnold and Elizabeth Marsh. Emma died 1945 at 83 years of age. In the 1900 census Lower Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania page 9, Martin (age 43) is living with his wife Emma (age 38), Elsie (age 13), Harvey (age 10), and Floyd (age 6). All births are recorded as Penn. Martin is a farmer and he owns their farm with no mortgage.

Martin Kessler and Emma Catherine Arnold had the following children:

2 i. Elsie J² Kessler was born in Pennsylvania January 1887.

3 ii. Harvey A Kessler⁽²⁸⁹⁹⁾ was born in Pennsylvania March 1890.

4 iii. Floyd A Kessler was born in Pennsylvania November 1893.
