13. Whitfield H³ Kitchen (Adam², Henry¹)⁽²⁹¹⁸⁾ was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey September 13, 1834. Whitfield died January 31, 1913 Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 78 years of age.

He married Catherine Rittenhouse Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, October 24, 1855. Catherine was born Kingwood Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ August 17, 1835. Catherine⁽²⁹¹⁹⁾ was the daughter of Nathaniel Rittenhouse and Sarah Catherine Taylor. Catherine died August 14, 1911 Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, at 75 years of age. In the 1880 census West Raritan Hunterdon Co NJ page 149, Whitfield (age 45) is recorded with his wife Kate (age 45), Mary (age 23), Sarah (age 22), Thomas (age 15), George (age 7), and Alison (age 4). Whitfield is a farmer and all births are recorded as NJ.

Whitfield H Kitchen and Catherine Rittenhouse had the following children:

33 i. Mary Louise⁴ Kitchen was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey June 25, 1856. Mary died January 19, 1880 at 23 years of age.

34 ii. Sarah Elizabeth Kitchen⁽²⁹²⁰⁾ was born 1859.

35 iii. Thomas Elwood Kitchen⁽²⁹²¹⁾ was born in New Jersey 1865. Thomas died March 18, 1942 Trenton, Mercer Co, NJ, at 76 years of age.

+ 36 iv. George Ervey Kitchen was born 1873.

37 v. Alison Whitfield Kitchen⁽²⁹²²⁾ was born in New Jersey 1876. Alison died March 2, 1953 at 76 years of age. He married Ida B unknown 1908. Ida was born in New Jersey 1879. (Additional notes for Ida B unknown⁽²⁹²³⁾)
