9. Robert³ Kitchen (John², Henry¹) was born in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey 1808.

He married Mary Davis in Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, June 4, 1837. Mary was born in New Jersey 1818. In the 1850 census Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co NJ page 196, Robert (age 42) is recorded with Mary (age 32), Margaret (age 9), Frederick (age 5), Theodore (age 2), and John Kitchen (age 78). All births are recorded as NJ and Robert is a laborer.

Robert Kitchen and Mary Davis had the following children:

15 i. Margaret J⁴ Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1840.

16 ii. Frederick Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1844.

17 iii. Theodore Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1847.

18 iv. Maryetta Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1851.

19 v. William Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1854.

20 vi. Josephine Kitchen was born Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co, NJ 1858.
